Given Kai Havertz's move to Arsenal, I was assigned the task of designing a farewell graphic for his social media accounts. In an exciting creative opportunity, I had the privilege of using a custom font crafted from Kai's own handwriting, which inspired me to take a more hand-drawn approach.
I believed that this hand-drawn style would instill a deeper sense of personal connection, steering away from the usual sports design aesthetic. This involved incorporating Stamford Bridge as a backdrop and featuringKai's most iconic moments - raising the Champions League trophy, which he secured with the winning goal. Since the graphic was designed as a carousel, I used these brush strokes to entice users to swipe through and engage with Kai's heartfelt message to his fans.
